Tony G rips on Devilfish in Wedding Greetings

by Jeremy

Dave “Devilfish” Ulliot is one of the best poker players in UK history, having won over $6 million in live poker tournaments, and even more money in cash games. But despite all of this, he has yet to win over fellow poker pro Tony Gouga, who loves to make light-hearted jabs at his colleague whenever possible.

The latest jab by Tony G involves sending some “warm” wishes Dave Ulliot’s way via a YouTube video. The video is called “Tony G wedding greetings to Devilfish,” and in it he says, “Devilfish, I wish you a happy retirement. I think poker’s gone by the wayside. And you’ve been taken over by the youngsters who are dominating. But you’ve had a good run….you should be proud of yourself.”

He continued the not-so-wedding greetings by saying, “You’re no longer a force in the poker world, but we all respect you, and we wish you all the best, and happy retirement.” Devilfish gets married on Saturday, and this will be his third wife.

As for Tony G’s words, it’s unlikely that anybody thinks the game has passed Ulliot by. However, one can’t help noticing that fact that British youngster Sam Trickett passed by him on the UK’s all-time poker tournament winnings list. Trickett won the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event, which was good for a $1,364,666 cash, and this gave him over $6.3 million for his career. Ulliot currently has just over $6 million in live poker tournament winnings for his career.
