Shana Hiatt Will Not be High Stakes Poker Host

by AintLuck.com Poker Team

So, who will be the next host of High Stakes Poker? The answer of who will host remains unanswered, but we now know of one person who won’t have the job, and that is Shana Hiatt. The former hostess of the World Poker Tour telecasts representatives have confirmed that she is not up for the position.

Currently, Hiatt has taken a break from Poker broadcasting, instead staying at home and traveling with her husband and child. Her hiatus now stands at over 3 years and not even the allure of the high visibility of a quality show such as High Stakes Poker is enough to draw her back in.

Hiatt was considered by many industry insiders to be the most logical candidate to replace departing host AJ Benza. On his way out the door, Benza fueled speculation on a possible replacement by stating that the position would go to a female. For now, that speculation will continue to swirl as it is perhaps a strategic move that show producers have been coy about the replacement with taping for the show set to begin in several weeks.
