Rush Poker Goes Mobile with “Rush Poker Mobile”

Sometime in the not too distant future, online poker players will truly be able to take their games with them anywhere they go. To date, the most innovative online poker development in the last 2 years was the ability to play on a site without having to download software onto your PC. Well, the latest move by Full Tilt Poker trumps that one, and its not even close.

It was revealed yesterday that Full Tilt Poker had sent out an email to their exclusive Black Card membership seeking volunteers to Beta Test their newest offering, Rush Poker Mobile. This new innovative offering allows owners of certain types of smart phones to be able to play at real money and play money Rush Poker Tables. Currently, the Beta version is available on the following types of Android-powered phones:

Acer Liquid Stream S110
HTC Desire
HTC Droid Incredible
HTC Evo 4G
HTC Google Nexus One
HTC Desire HD
Motorola Droid 2
Motorola Droid Pro / Droid 2 World Edition
Motorola Droid X, and the T-Mobile G2

As one might expect, the news has sparked much positive feeling from the gaming community how have long hoped for the ability to play online poker from anywhere. The current version allows for one-table to be used at a time, sorry multi-tablers, at even the highest staked games available. Interestingly, no download is required for this to work as it is a Flash-based poker client, quite similar to those employed by the “no-download” needed sites.

Early returns have been generally positive as testers say the poker client is straight-forward to use and clean. The performance is expected to improve as technological advances continue.

At present time, Rush Poker Mobile will not be available for iPhone users as Apple has strict restrictions on the software they support. Additionally, Apple does not support Flash applications yet.
