The big Macau poker cash games are in full swing again, and as we reported over the weekend, quite a few big-time players are there such as Tom Dwan and Cirque Du Soleil owner Guy Laliberté. But one piece of breaking news regarding these cash games is that Phil Ivey has supposedly joined the party too.
Very little has been heard from Phil Ivey ever since the Full Tilt Poker mess happened, and his impending alimony payment drama with wife Luciaetta has not made things any easier on him. But according to the Poker King Club in Macau, Phil Ivey couldn’t pass up the chance to jump into some juicy cash games.

On their Facebook page, the Poker King Club pointed out a picture of Ivey’s name listed on a board of players who were interested in playing 300/600 NL ($30k-No Max) games. Writing under the picture reads as, “Do u see who’s on the waiting list for 300/600? U guys wanna play with him? Come quick to reserve your seat to play one of the worlds best!”
Seeing as how Ivey is one of the best PLO players in the world, this game definitely sounds right up his alley. Furthermore, the poker great has to find some way of generating income since he’s not getting anything from Full Tilt Poker at the moment.
Ivey chose not to play in the 2011 WSOP because he said that he was embarrassed to represent a poker site (Full Tilt) that couldn’t pay its players back following Black Friday. Many people attacked Ivey for these statements, and said that he was only skipping the WSOP so he’d have more time to battle FTP over money they allegedly owe him.
