Nick Ceci is Champ at WSOP Bayou Circuit Event

by Poker Team

Nick CeciNick Ceci, a demolition worker from Peachtree City Georgia, is headed to the WSOP Main Event with his win at the Bayou Poker Challenge in New Orleans. The Bayou Poker Challenge was the last circuit event for qualifiers to the WSOP main event. The 9 month long tour saw poker players competing in 12 different Harrah’s casino properties, 30,000 participants, and more than $25 Million in prize money won in total.

Nick Ceci’s Big Win

Ceci outlasted a field of 248 participants and walked home with $382,928 in prize money and more importantly, a $10,000 entry in the the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas. What is impressive about the win is that Nick Ceci entered the final table 5th in total chip counts (256,000) compared to the Timothy “TK” Miles, who started the final table with 687,000 total chips. It shows that Ceci used proper bankroll management and ousted the competition and walked home the winner.

Other Participants at the Bayou Poker Challenge

The three day event in New Orleans saw a number of poker pros including Gavin Smith, Chris Bell, Allen Kessler, Josh Arieh and last year’s champion Lou Esposito. Of all those players, only Esposito made it to the final table and ended up placing 6th and took home just under $60,000. Good luck to Nick Ceci as he will be headed to the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas this summer.
