LarsLuzak Has Huge Day at Full Tilt

With most of the high roller in the poker world in Las Vegas, playing in some of the best and largest cash games around at the 2009 WSOP, the online well has been relatively dry when it comes to the high stakes nosebleed games over on Full Tilt Poker.  Taking a hiatus from their million dollar Pot Limit Omaha matchup are Tom “Durrrr” Dwan and Patrik Antonius, while Phil Ivey has been busy collecting his 6th World Series of Poker bracelet by winning the deuce to seven triple draw event.

This is not to say that the games are not still going on however.  While most of the big headliners are testing their mettle in the world’s most prestigious tournaments, other online players still are earning their money at the site.  Among them is LarsLuzak, who has had a pretty rough first half of 2009 thus far.  Last night, he had some good results, however, as he grinded his way to a $400,000 profit in the Mixed HA and Pot Limit Omaha tables.  Though the aforementioned pros were absent from the festivities, LarsLuzak instead did battle with players such as Urindanger, Nicki Jedlicka, and luckexpress10.  It is important to note that LarsLuzak is also at the World Series as well, however, with no great results as yet, he has had more time than others to play the online games.

His best results came at the expense of luckexpress10, taking over $300,000 from him in the two largest wins he had in the session.  In both cases, he was able to hit his draws, once on the turn and once on a fortuitous river, earning him a $163K score in the first and $155K in the second.  LarsLuzak did quite well for himself in Full Tilt’s newer PLO $300/$600 with $100 ante game and seems to be gaining momentum.  It remains to be seen if this good run is a sign of better days ahead or merely a mirage in the desert.
