Full Tilt Poker TV Show featuring Gus Hansen, Demidov, Katchalov

The poker TV market is a little lacking these days, but Full Tilt is bringing some of it back by running the Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle. The televised challenge will take place later this year and give players from the “Commonwealth of Independent States and the Baltics” an opportunity to compete against famous pros.

For anybody who’s as dumbfounded by Eastern European geography as me (thank god for google maps), you should know that the Baltics consist of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. As for the Commonwealth of Independent States, they include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Assuming you’re from the CIS/Baltic region, you can compete for a $3,000 prize package that’ll put you in line for the Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle show. 11 packages will be given out through qualifier tournaments running from October 13th - November 16th, while a 12th package will be awarded through a Nov. 16th freeroll.

Anybody who qualifies will be flown to Kiev, where the TV show is being filmed. Here, players will compete against the likes of Gus Hansen, Alexander Kravchenko, Ivan Demidov, Eugene Katchalov and Maksin Lykov.

The winner of the Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle will earn a $35,000 prize. They then get to take on Hansen heads-up, with $100,000 on the line. Considering the latter, this is definitely a poker show worth trying to get on if you’re from the CIS/Baltic area.
