Full Tilt Offering Qualifiers for Televised Poker Shows

Fans of watching poker on television undoubtedly tune into two popular shows, Poker Million and Late Night Poker, whenever the shows air.  Many of them have longed for the opportunity to take part in these high profile shows.  For a lucky few, their daydreams can become a reality.  Over the weekend, Full Tilt Poker, the 2nd largest online poker room in the room announced and introduced qualifying tournaments on their site where the grand prizes will be to take part of the shows.  This is proving to be quite a busy time at Full Tilt as they are already in the midst of the 12th installment of their highly successful FTOPS (Full Tilt Online Poker Series).

Debuting in 2000 when sponsored by Ladbrokes, a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange, has features such past winners as John Duthie, who finished 487th in the 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in Las Vegas, Jimmy White, Donnacha O’Dea, Tony Jones, Rajesh Modha, Hendon Mob member Joe Beevers, and Boyle Poker pro Marty Smyth.

Over the next several months, Full Tilt Poker will be running a host $535 buy-in direct qualifiers for the Poker Million.  The first will take place on August 2nd and subsequent tournaments will be held on August 30th, September 6th, September 13th, September 20th, and September 27th.  Winning players will be happy to learn that their prize packages are each worth $22,000, $20,000 for the buy in and $2,000 in spending money.

Players who don’t want to pony up the $535 buy in can participate in satellite tournaments to get them into the big one.  In the past, Poker Million final tables have included players such as Barny Boatman, David “Devilfish” Ulliott, Andreas Hoivold, Mel Judah, Liam Flood, and Full Tilt Poker’s Howard Lederer.

Fans of Late night Poker can get in on the action as well.  For a buy in of $322, on June 7th, players can take part in the first qualifying tournament.  In addition, players can try to win their way onto the show on June 21st, July 5th, and July 19th.  Winning prize packages are valued at $12,000 apiece, 10K for the buy in and 2K for travel and accommodations.

Each of the programs offer over a $Million in prize money plus the chance to make a name for themselves on TV.
