Carbon Poker adds Mobile App

More and more poker sites these days are entering the mobile world. Unfortunately, none of them are US-friendly sites, which cuts a big part of the market out. But Carbon Poker is doing their part to change this since they recently unveiled a mobile application.

This is a free mobile app that gives players the ability to play No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Limit Hold’em games. And it’s available for both iPhone and iPod Touch users.

Just like most mobile poker apps out there today, there are limitations to Carbon’s version. Only cash games are available and there’s no application for iPad or Android users at this point. Luckily though, Carbon is planning on adding all of this - plus real money play - in the future. A spokesman named “CarbonRyan” made a statement about this that read:

Please note, the mobile client currently only supports play money play (NL, FL and PL Hold’em cash games only. Tournaments and other poker variants will become available soon), and is only currently on offer to players on iPhone or iPod touch, running iOS 5.0 or newer. Android and iPad clients will become available in the near future.

CarbonRyan also discussed how players can try the free mobile app through a preview that’s currently available. Interested players merely need to email Carbon Poker about trying out the app before it’s released to the public.

As for real money play, no timetable has been given on when this will be available. However, it’s reasonable to assume that Carbon might release their real money mobile poker app within the next few months.
